After several FB chats and CP calls, Lorna and I finally met with Gio and E.T. They drove in from Northwest to South of San Antonio just to meet with us that night - -about an hour drive. And wow, has Gio really grown tall and added much weight - - not the Gio we used to know at the BF tennis courts about 7 years ago. He came along with his friend, E.T. for that night, his car was under repair, or he is repairing it himself since he really has become a car enthusiast.
The four of us had a long eyeball chat just in front of our hotel at La Quinta, standing the whole time. Lorna and I just had a bite at Denny's, across our hotel when the two drove in.
We covered a lot of topics going down memory lane and talked much about San Antonio where Lorna may possibly be assigned to work as a physiotherapist. San Antonio is one of her facility options.
We communicated too with Suzette and thought of meeting up with her but didn't have the opportunity because of conflicting schedules. Well, anyway the story will continue to unfold as Lorna and I prepare for her next assignment.
The 4hr-drive (one way) from Pearland, TX to and from San Antonio proved to be a fun drive. With the reliable GPS in front of me, it was easy for us to find our hotel and Lorna's class for her continuing education. I stayed at our hotel most of the time enjoying writing my 'memoirs' for my book to be published either end of the year 2011, or the next. I will upload a few videos taken in San Antonio of our three-day stay there, soon.
