Tennismate Tony requested that I bring my new guitar at the tennis courts for us to have a bit of fun singing songs that are familiar to us all after playing tennis. Here's the first of two videos I casually video(d) with my Motorola Droid CP. Surprised to learn that most of them not only sing but have their own instruments to play. The volunteer-comedian was Rene who could mimic Jo Cantada, Rey Langit, Ronnie Nathanielz and many others. Too bad, Lorna and I will be leaving Pearland end of April for her next facility assignment. Hope it will not be too far from Pearland.

http://www.youtube.com/user/glenlorn#p/u/0/k4VIr9CpoGkWell, it has been less cold, less windy and hardly no rain . . and the sun has started to shine for us tennis addicts to play almost everyday, if not everyday these past weeks. Night time we frequent Southdown Tennis Club just about 6 miles away from where Lorna and I stay (Sunrise Lake Homes). During the day from 8AM 'til lunch time, I have to drive a bit longer to Shadow Creek Tennis Club to join just about the same group, as well as with other young and old Filipino male and female tennis players - - for tennis is a family thing here in Pearland.
I have not been able to concentrate on taking more photos for this album since tennis seem to be my focus and not photography. These photos were casual, stolen shots using my Motorola Droid CP.
This is Glenn reporting from Pearland, TX. Will upload the rest of the photos/videos and I promise to take more when we come back from San Antonio where Lorna and I will have a short vacation. San Antonio is only a four-hour drive from Pearland, TX. Just so I don't forget my tennis mates' names: Tony (TJ Resto owner), Jojo, Art (PT), Andre (PT), Ramon, Jojo, Dustin, Mercy, Rene, Ding, Glenn (my namesake), Moses, Peter John, Ronald, Jay, Ben, Adel, Don, etc . . .
Unfortunate Tennis Day for Dustin
From: glenlorn | Apr 13, 2011 | 21 views
Dustin and I just completed a tennis doubles match (winning it) and he headed home to join his wife and family. I had to stay to play a bit more with Ben who had not played yet.
We were surprised that Dustin had come back in a hurry reporting that his Toyota sports car's window had been smashed - - front passenger's window side. It was his black back pack bag the thieves were after for the installed GPS was still there left untouched. Do view this short video to complete the rest of the story.
Btw, last night, we had met again with Dustin and happy to learn that somebody got his bag (must have been thrown away after getting what they wanted) with all his IDs but not his credit cards and others. Gasoline purchases reflected on Dustin's credit history but was put to a stop after the police reported the incident. This happened in broad daylight (about 9AM) on the front left side of the tennis courts. Strange that we didn't hear anything nor his car's alarm.
ps: Our apology for having mentioned that the police was doing nothing. We thought of that for it took him quite long to respond to our call and when he got there, he didn't even bother to come down to view the smashed window. But, the officer was correct in staying there in his car with his computer reporting the loss of Dustin's credit cards and IDs. Sorry, officer, but next time, please respond sooner.
